The Couch that cannot live without the Box

What comes to mind when u mention the couch? A cosy sofa in a dim atmosphere, a bowl of snack, probably someone u like next to you. What next? U switch on the tv, right? Everyone has their own point of view when it comes to their choice of programme. My favourite channel will be the NTV 7, why? Because it doesn't feature boring local programme. We have no doubt that the local television programme is not up to the expectation of our viewers, and it's definitely not because of the lack of sex scene. Our local artistes is known to Malaysian specially the Malay community as scandalous. The divorce, the dispute, anything that negative enough float the tabloid. Of course they are also the really so-called good ones that are about to retired and you never saw them on tv before.
It's not that you don't wanna support them, but when u compare to the international artiste, though more scandalous and revealing than ours, they produce good movies. Not like some kind of stupid pontianak shows that doesn't even scare a kid. Our local screen always pale in comparison.

Sticking to New Year Resolutions

I set up some resolutions for myself to achieve during this year. I hope my dear friends would help me reach my target by reminding me how to kick off some of the really bad habits. Here's a list of my new year resolutions. I should be lucky to achieve half of them...but it's actually not as hard as reaching for the stars.

1. Think positively N optimistically. Everything got to come to an end and so is the bad luck.
2. Maintain my weight. No lossing weight and no dieting. Just exercise!
3. Don't splurge on anything that looks attractive. Save money enough for a home theatre system for my dream house.
4. Expensive cosmetic N fragrance does not make u look beautiful. Stay confident and speak out when necessary.
5. Do something useful. Don't just sit there and watch Tv.
6. At least 20 sit ups 30 minutes after every meal.
7. Quit the nail biting and pluck crazy habit. Don't go crazy over guys with muscles because normally they don't have brains.
8. Strive to get a scholarship and do myself proud. No one is there to help u but yourself.
9. I know it's hard to do Form 6 but try to. U're the only one who can make a difference. One and a half year doesn't hurt.
10. Reach out for people who need help but myself always comes first.
11. Save money for my dream Macbook.
12. Don't cry for help when u need assistance. Figure out yourself.
13. Sustitute your potato chips with fruits N cucumber.
14. Reward yourself popcorns every month once when u cannot handle the stress.

Rite, That's about it I think. recommend something if u think I need to change this year.

Bye 2007!

I have to admit 2007 wasn't such a good yr for me, but so is 2008. I have a rough ride at the beginning of 2008, and it certainly wasn't a nice one to start with. But I'm glad 2007's over and so is the exams. Waiting for the announcement of SPM results wasn't that bad, but thinking of what to fill your time with is the question....

To me, tertiary education is the stepping stone for your career success, so I work very hard for it. Doesn't matter of the cost, a quality education is still the most important. Don't blame for critisizing but this is what I see in many people, but you are welcome to correct me if I'm wrong. Public universities is a bad choice for secondary school leavers. Why do people choose to study overseas which is obviously more expensive though they come from deprive background? It all boils down to quality education. If you can't get one in the country, why not go else where or quit studying and work!

Don't you see? People graduate from some shit-ass local universities can't find a job. So what's the point of studying if you know you can't find a job when you come out. A few months ago, WE, citizens of our beloved country is not really shocked to hear that the ranking of our public higher education institution has dropped, leaving us tremendously disappointed once again. we kept questioning our leaders of the serious matter, so what? They say it's a nobody's fault. So why the fall?

Don't tell me about reasons coming from the graduates themselves because of some attitude problem. It's the university itself that has lost it lustre. Unexperienced, low quality, don't know how to speak English lecturers contribute to the downfall causing people to lose their trust in them and therefore willing to spend more on the education of our future leaders. Some courses are too easy to achieve that the private sector wouldn't even accept them. God knows who they're helping. No offence, ask anybody else, you'll get the same answer. This is just personal opinion, no means of trying to influence people.
